The Age of Adaline is the kind of romantic fantasy that quietly pulls you into its world. The idea of living forever sounds beautiful at first, but the movie explores the loneliness that comes with watching everyone around you grow older while you remain unchanged. Blake Lively gives Adaline a graceful, emotionally restrained performance, while Harrison Ford adds surprising depth to the story. The movie isn't perfect—some of its science and story logic are clearly more fantasy than reality—but its emotional core works. What makes it worth watching is the way it mixes romance, immortality and the fear of losing the people you love without becoming a typical fantasy movie.
